not sure what it means, or if anyone really cares, but...i placed 3 floating pond fertilizers in my 7 acre pond. had put out a bunch of lime, about 23 tons in the pond about a month ago. have had a great color, bloom etc. then we had a few cloudy days, and some rain. well, the rain washed thru the inlet into my pond where i had dumped about 5 tons of lime to get "washed" in. the next day my pond had an almost milky green light color. i hurried and got the fertilizer buckets out of the pond, and aerated with my boat and 25 hp motor. no fish kill, actually thriving great. 2 days later after sun, all clear. i read up, and it looks like the cloudy days, plus lime and fert had a sudden kaboom! anyway, just an observation to stimulate some discussion or comments. i've just never seen a pond that color before. only lasted for 2 days.
