I picked up an Offset Flail Mower to manage the edges of the pond. I have to be cautious with my angle as its quite heavy.

Nice Tbar!

Do you have any wheel weights to put on your rear tire that is opposite your flail operating side? That would give you the best protection against rolling over into the pond.

They don't even have to be nice looking, just functional. Since I know you spent some big bucks on your flail mower, you might be able to save a little money by finding some used wheel weights.

Good idea. The tires are filled but weights would help as well.

Agree that your filled tires are a good safety feature. I was worried you were working with a "light" tractor since you might be in mushy ground part of the time.

Lance that looks pretty cool. What's your daily rate to help a neighbor in WP? Ha Ha

I have worked with a local guy on forest mulching and now he does pond cleanup too.

My problem is I have turf around about half of pond and several sharp turn sloughs.

I guess he could do half the pond absent the turf.

Nice Mark...!!! One of those would come in handy.

My next project is to hire someone to clear a fence line. Lots of trees to take down.

The county tractors that have the articulated side mounted mowers have offset weights that they add to the tractor. I'd look into those, or as a minimum just add weights to the opposite wheel, not both rear wheels.

The Fecon mulcher will make quick work of the fence row. I have seen bigger ones capable of chewing up and mulching 12" DBH trees.
