Where can I find Hybrid stripers for my pond. I would like to stock some this fall and would like get some information about a hatchery in my region. Also, if I have to have the fish shipped to me what is an is exceptable distance, as to prevent them form dying in transit

Dear Newbee:

A source of hybrid stripers in your area? Suggest you contact Paul Dorsett or Mac McCune.

McCune runs Lake Management Services in Richmond (281) 342-6018. Dorsett runs Total Lake Management in Bryan (979) 279-2946.

Either one can supply your every pond need, from lake design to water analysis to fish stocking.

Newbee,

Sorry Newbee, it's just that the yellow bullhead is such a glamour species!

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Yeah Cecil, glamorous species. \:D \:D \:D . Hey Mark, by the way thanks for the tip on where to find hybrid stripers. Your people in Richmond, Texas directed me to Danbury Fish Farm. The people there were very nice and helpful and I was able to get a few put on hold for me. The fish will be around five to six inches when I get them, so I'll let you know how it goes. Can't wait \:\) \:\) \:\) .

Or you contact me if you haven't had luck with the other guys that Mr. McDonald recommended to you. I run down to that area every now and then. And check out my website if you like: www.overtonfisheries.com

It's ALL about the fish!
