Bass love threadfins, and grow quite large with them on the menu. Trouble is, they're not always easy to get.
Anybody interested in stocking threadfins? Cost: $125/thousand.

Yep, I'm interested but what are the chances of survival? We had a winter kill on Lake Texoma winter before last that wiped out the entire threadfin shad population.
TP&W restocked and they came back strong but we had skinny stripers and lost a bunch of big fish!
I will be interested next spring most likely, and just take my chances. Where will they be available? george

I talked with a fish hatchery and they said threadfin do not do very well in a 1 acre pond. Is that true?

I have been looking for 15-30 thousand threadfin for stocking near Shreveport LA, but haven't been able to locate any. Any help would be appreciated.
