Minnow identification
Need help identifying these two minnows.
Trapped in Upper Michigan.
Little Munuscong River.
Iām not sure what they are.

One on left is a BG, (Bluegill), right is a shiner but not sure type/species. It's not a GSH or RSH

One on the left is some species of Lepomid. BG likely, but I'm not familiar enough with species other than BG and RES to rule them out.

Mike, this is a great resource to determine what "might" be in your river. Fish Species by WatershedPut in a zip code to get close to your area of interest. Once you are close and get a map open, you can then correct to the specific piece of river you were sampling. I am sure it is not 100% correct on fish species, but it is definitely a good starting place!
