Although I read many posts about the use of bentonite clay to help seal ponds, I am finding it difficult to track down bulk suppliers.

Is there a listing somewhere? Perhaps a suppliers association where I can find local suppliers?

I am based in the Seattle area, and have had very little success. I'd really like to tackle it this - it's only April and my pond is already dry. \:\( .

Thanks in advance. What a great message board - I have learned a lot just in a few weeks reading.

Bentonite is actually mined and then sold as powdered or pelletized.

I would just try an internet search and send some E-mails.

It's heavily used in the oil drilling industry.

Hey, I thought it never stopped raining in Seattle. Those of us in Texas have really been envying you. I would expect that you must have a sand botton.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
