I had some weeds in my pond and thus I have not been able to start fertilizing this year. I have started treating the weeds with aquathol super k.
Was wondering about pond dye.
Will pond dye applied over the winter kill any existing weeds by denying light to the weeds?
Can you get the dye in different colors. I have seen the blue and don't care for it. Does it come in a more natural color such as geen.
How expensive is the dye?

I don't like green dye! I used a "Caribbean Blue" dye last summer and it looked great for a few weeks. Then the blue color dissipated to leave a fluorescent green color, with which I'm still stuck. In response to pics on Facebook, I get comments like "Wow man! What's that weird color?" Now I use blue and only blue and check the contents for other tints such as yellow and green.
