Show off your planted tanks. Thought there has to be folks here with aquariums too.

This is ours. Just finished cycling it with a few fish.

Pulled the fish and added 45 red cherry shrimp. Only other thing in here is a small pleco and horse face loach.

I only have one plant in my aquarium, it is the same long curly leaf one you have in the back of your tank.

I do have one 14" pleco, 5 albino bristlenose plecos, and 30 RES currently in my 75 gallon tank. The brisltenose plecos keep producing fry but the RES eat them as soon as the come out of the nest.

RES are red ear sun fish?

Way cool. Add some pictures if you get a sec.

Here is my sons sliver dollars. They are straight up lawn mowers. They can not be in the same tank as any live plants. They will eat them all. The males tail is a bit ratty as he is trying to mate with the female. He wraps his body and tail around her as she drops her eggs.

A close up of the red cherry shrimp AKA clean up crew.

Yes, RES are redear sunfish that were hatched in my pond last year. I'll get a picture or two this evening. My large pleco has been hard on my plant, he will tear a leaf off every few days just moving around the tank.

this was several years ago. i still have it up and running, but looks totally different now. i developed a leak with my injected co2 a few months ago. i need to get the co2 back going and the tank will flourish.

Shorty the pleco is huge!

Scott69, love the lace/vale tail gold angels. I see candy cane tetras and what are the red clear ones on the left side of the picture? Are they rainbowfish?

Thinking of adding Co2. My middle boy played rookie division three paintball and we have a pile of paintball tanks. Would love to be able to use them some how. Most are HPA tanks but do have a few old Co2 tanks too. I am sure I can get HPA filled with cO2.

Cheers Don.

the angel fish are long gone. I had the big black one for years and years.. the little red ones on the left are rummy nose tetra. i have been successful with raising a few pristella tetra. ever so often i look and there is a new baby in there. i have totally neglected the tank for a while now. This post did get me motivated again last night and i fixed the co2 leak.

i finally found a reliable setup for using paintball canisters. i wanted to use them due to the ease of having them filled. it seems now that paintball is out of style and it is harder to find places to fill them.

I have an old school T12 two tube 48" in GE aquarium spectrum. I then have RGB 5050 led strip run down the center of the two tubes that acts as the night light set dark blue dim. Currently running 8 hour lighting as we started to see some alga at 10.5 hours and my coontail was getting out of control.

Cheers Don.
