Thanks esshup! Nest raiding is fun in the spring. It usually takes a few drags across the nest of a nightcrawler or crankbait but is fun. Never thought about attacking YOY ball. Is there an effective method for removing the YOY in a ball? Probably have to be a pretty fine mesh. Thanks again.

You remove the male that is guarding the ball, and the other fish in the pond take care of the majority of the YOY bass in the ball on their own.

We lease an old cemex lake that is 63 acres. It has lots of cover around the edges and old trees throughout. About A month ago, we stocked 400 Florida lmb fingerlings, 1600 3-5 in blue gill, 12,000 fhm, 100 channel cat, and 200 black croppie. 3 years ago we took poles down there and caught 30-50 bluegill one morning so there is a large bg and minnow population even before stocking.. I have been doing a lot of reading up on stocking recommendations since, and am afraid I understocked the bass fingerlings. We also added 40 lmb from a local reservoir over the past 3 months. What should expectations be for how long it will take for it to be a great fishing lake for my family and friends. What should I do to make it quality fishing?
