Tried to net some minnows from my pond the other day and almost wound up swimming (steep banks and slick mud). So I got a minnow trap. Threw it in last night with some bread and dog food in it and had these this morning. Though one kinda has a dark spot on its gill plate, I figured they were all tilapia due to the lack of the dark spots. Googled blue gill and tilapia fingerling pics this morning, and now I don't know.

Are they BG or tilapia minnows? Or a mix? (bad pic...was in a hurry to get to work this morning)

Sean

Hmm....kinda disappointed. I realize all the tilapia will die in the fall and had hoped I had some BG fingerlings in there too, to keep the bass fed during the winter.

It is pretty cool though...that I went from nothing to 1.5 inch tilapia in 2 months (minnow trap is supposed to be quarter inch holes...though I never measured)

Thanks for the help.

Sean
