Pond Boss Forums POND CONSTRUCTION Renovating a Pond or Lake? Evaluate Existing Lake

We have a 20 acre creek fed lake in Hillister Texas (southeast TX) that is about 60 years old. It is like a miniature Rayburn except that the fishing is horrible. I am looking for a firm to evaluate it from top to bottom, as in, chemistry, present fish stick, etc. in order to improve the fishing.

Know of any good firms or people out there who do this?

I am sure you will get references. Lots of Texas boys. 60 years old on a creek. Sounds like it has become shallow. Is there a way to drain the body of water?

Don't know for sure, but what about contacting Bob Lusk himself? He probably would give you a referral if it wasn't up his alley to do it.

Yes it can be drained to the extent that only the creek bed remains and flows through.

The lake is still about 10-12 feet deep along the creek bed. It does have a lot of what we call coon tail moss.

There are not many perch other than very small ones and the bass look stunted/skinny.
