With all of the fresh water and more coming is it necessary to run the aerator or is it ok to leave it off.

Bobby I would say it is necessary to run it for a while at least. The problem with a LOT of new water is it can get into your pond quick and create a fairly drastic temp change in your water column. Then what happens? Well you have nice cool water on the top 3 feet of your water and warmer water under it. Well what does heat like to do? You guest it rise to the top and bam you have a turn over event. What you want to do is mix that water as it comes into your pond with your air setup then it will be the same everywhere in your pond. IMO I would not turn it off.
Please anyone correct me if I am wrong here as I am no expert in all of this just voicing what I think is right..
