These fish certainly look like they have a lot of GSF in the for sure, just not the enormous mouth of a GSF. We've got RE & BG in the lake so I assume some kind of cross.  This was one beautiful fish color wise. 10" long onthe button:  Another:  Any ideas what is on the fins of this on? Had it on both sides:

Good looking fish I notice a grub issue.. been like that for a long time or have you noticed any decrease since adding the RES

My main pond was supposed to be straight BG but I catch about 5 out of 100 hybrids. If the fishing is tough to get a bite, the hybrids are the likely ones to be biting. I like them. Been transfering all I catch to our old pond to finish growing them out.

Yup those are yellow grubs. Supposedly mostly harmless to the fish and again supposedly no danger to humans.
