How soon after liming can I fertilize?

If the alkalinity was low (below 20) I'd wait a few weeks to see if you have enough NPK in there now. Low alkalinity is a limiting factor in how well fertilizer works. If it was over 20, I'd wait a week, give or take. BUT, I'd go easy with the first application, maybe 1/3 or 1/2 the total amount recommended.

You can do them simultaneously if the alkalinity is over 20 ppm +-. But as noted above go slow with all fertilizer applications until you have significant experience with each pond.

My alkalinity was never below 20ppm, it was probably around 30ppm. After 3 tons of lime per acre it is around 50ppm.

The optimum range is 50-200, but I'd like to see it closer to 100+ than under that. The higher it is, the less the pH will swing during the day too. High swings put more stress on the fish.

I may go ahead and put a little fertilizer in this weekend. What do you guys suggest I start with? Would five pounds per acre be enough?
I just put my bait fish in this week, so I think that I will give it a little time and then add more lime. I still have 12 tons.

What type of fertilizer ? If water soluble then start with 1 lb per acre and watch for a few days. If pelleted (regular bag fertilizer) then 4 lbs not on dirt but on a platform or in a tub.

It's regular bag fertilizer.
