I just planted 200 one inch blue tilpia mixed sex into an indoor tank. Water temp will have to stay in the mid 70's due to another tank sharing the biofilter which has yellow perch.
What kind of growth rate will I get per month?

The fish will eventually go to an outside aquaponics tank when it finally warms up a little. Right now some days don't climb out of the 50's for highs. Hence why they are inside for now.
I had hybrid tilpia last year in my aquaponics system I purchased and picked up locally, but I got them much larger.

In case anyone is interested I got this response back from Kellen Wissenbach of the White Brook Tilapia farm:
They should double in size over the next 10 days. Feed frequently, and just a little each time. Later on, you can start getting more precise with your feeding amounts if you want to run as efficiently as possible. At first though, it's best to just pump feed into them. The first 30 days of growth really impacts how quickly their grow down the road. It's a crucial period.

They do grow quick feeding often. Might be a little tough on your filtration system later on  .

Might be a little tough on your filtration system later on . Not with an external standipe and a sloping bottom in this particular tank along with a clarifer. I can flush any settleable solids by pulling a gate valve on the standpipe line. And the clarifer tank along with a sponge on the small mag drive pump does a good job of filtering out suspended solids. The water overflows back to another tank which also has filtration. Each tank has it's own filtration although they share biofiltration.

This is info from Rex. At 80F the best growing blue tilapia will grow from egg to 1.5 lbs in 28 weeks (7mo) which equates to around 2.4mm per day. These will likely be the males. Fast growth. Not sure how fast they will grow at 70F. Maybe only 0.5 to 1mm per day.

I will be hatching my own in an aquarium after this year. Should save me some money.

one thing i found with tilapia, was that lots of the waste floated for quite a while...and stayed together in fairly large strands... you might need some kind of skimmer action -
