I didnt get to install the light this weekend due to the rain so i got some work done this morning. I got the 4x4s in the ground just waiting on the concrete to dry. My plan is to put a 10 foot 4x4 on top of the 2 4x4s in the ground and hinge the back one so i can swing it back on land to do maintence without getting in the water. The 4x4 will rest where the 2x4 is but will kinda cantilever over the water. Here is a pic of my progress more to come this week.

Hey now! that is a grand way to mount your light/bug wacker. If you dont mind I would like to use your idea and mount mine the same way. I have to get mine off the dock because when the bugs start flying around the light they dont care who they run into.
A little snow, Please!

I just wanted to post an update and tell you that this light works wonderful and it knocks tons of bugs on the water. The fish are loving it.

thanks for the update wicked.
so it hinges straight back up and over?
kind of a stupid question, but outside of changing a light bulb (which is hard enough for me to do), what kind of maintenance does it need?

Yes it hinges up and over. The only other thing to replace besides the bulbs would be the weedeater string but that should last a very long time.

The weed eater cords need cleaning periodically. They get larger with bug guts and eventually slow the motor down. You can simply stick any object into the assembly while its running and this will shadder the bugs parts off. Clean the bowl occasionally with easy off oven cleaner

Bob thought I would post this here. Thanks for bringing the light to the tradshow. The show was fair. I did not sell any direclty but several interested. Wwhat was amazing was how mnay folks stopped to tell me they have one and how great they are. Not one single person said anything negative about the product.
I'm looking forward to adding them to product lineup. One fella said it was great also because it takes the bugs away from biting him when down at his dock.

Thanks Greg I've just returned from St. Simons where it is much hotter than the georgia coast. The southeast (as you already know) needs rain desperately. Sorry the show was not better. Guess it wasn't fair for you to try selling my light this close to where i am. You will have more success when you leave middle georgia. Working on video that should be awesome.

Wickedinhere, That is an awesome mount for your bojo light. I made a bug wacker light about a year ago, and never got around to hanging it. This was partly because I couldn't think of a way that I really liked and also because my light is so darn heavy. I second what Trialsguy said. I would definitely like to use your idea. Man its cool!!

I'm in the process of copying this exact design. Do I have to send royalties? I'll be hanging up my mega-nice homemade "Limb Bream" model. Hopefully in a couple of days.

I'd like to know how it works for you Bruce. I'm going to try to build one of these Wickedinhere mounts this weekend so I can try mine out as well.

I would like to add that I have tried all of the bug knocking into the water devices. The bugslugger, the bug o matic, something else that didn't work, then the BOJO. The bojo is hands down the best available. I sit on my docks whenever I can and just watch the fish feasting on the bugs. AWESOME!!!
The combination of the GREEN MONSTER UNDERWATER FISHING LIGHT, An Aquapro fish feeder set to go off about an hour after sunset, and the BOJO bug light has turned my docks into the most coolest place to be after dark. We dont even fish anymore, we just watch the action. I am definitely going to take pics soon.
When I take people down to see all the fish at night, they are just amazed at everything that is going on in the water. Little fish eating bugs and plankton, big fish eating bugs and fish food, and bigger fish swooping in and eating little fish.

Chris Steelman,
Thanks for the help. I am almost computor illiterate, but am making progress. I now have a photobucket account with a few pictures in it. Hope to work on the balance soon.
Thanks again for your help.
