Was suppose to start my pond last June, but with all the rains they were having trouble finishing up their lasts project they were working on. He only does dozing as a side job now so he will only be working on it at evening's and weekends. I will post new pics as it progresses. I am heading to Canada on thursday for a Bear and Fishing trip, and won't be back until the end of the next week, so hopefully I will have some new pics to post, of the pond, and the fishing trip. Here are a few pics I have as of now.

Started clearing the trees.

The dam will be running from this point towards the dozer.

Thought I would post an update on the pond. When I first posted this back in August we had started clearing the trees where the dam was to be built. Once that was done they started to core in the dam and hit a sand seam. We then moved over to another part of the property and ended up with a 4 acre pond. It's not quite as deep as the first one would have been, but it is still about 15 feet, and twice as big.

Looks really nice.
Looks like a dock in the process of being built?

Thanks snrub, that is the dock being built. Got a little more to do that will be under water, but plan on finishing it up next spring. Trying to get some of the fish habitat done first. Here is a pick looking back from the other direction. I was standing fairly close to the end of the pond, but more than likely it may go on another hundred yards further yet.

Are you keeping it drained down to keep working on it, or are you waiting for rain to fill it?

I am not only waiting for rain I am begging for it. Trying to get done as much as possible before next spring. Since we finished up in September the biggest rain we have had was around an inch.
