Light gear and a Rebel Big Hopper was all I needed today to capture my biggest bluegill to date! This thing fought like a champ!!! I've caught some nice panfish this year, but this one takes the cake.....it'll be tough but I hope to catch an even bigger be this year....this fish was a pie plate!

Only 10"......but very tall and thick.....didn't weigh it because I wanted to get it back in the water quick.....wish I would've gotten a better picture though

I don't think I ever have caught one that big. I hope to someday as the result of all the good help from the PondBoss forum.

Yea, I know 10" is a nice gill, but naturally, I want bigger.....a friend of mine caught a 12" gill a while back, and I'm still looking for mine!
