3/4 acre pond that is 2.5 years old..stocked 2 years ago with no issues..Had normal algae bloom then died when cold front came through a month ago..Phyto is now regrowing well but 2 days ago pond turned milky colored with no changes or big rains.no runoff...Fish are seeming ok and eating well when I feed them..no dead fish or sufacing fish for oxygen...Do I have a bacterial problem, ammonia problem, or is this normal for theis age of pond..Before the color change the clarity was to a depth of 3 feet or more...Any help would be great..Thanks, David.

Milky colored water is usually a sign of a bacterial bloom. Should dissipate on it's own, but I would maintain aeration until it does and monitor Oxyge3n levels.

So what is the main source for this bacterial bloom? Too many fish? Just wondering...Thanks, David.
