Finally got some decent weather today and decided to do a little fishing. The 1st fish of the year was the nice 9+ inch bluegill weighing in at 11 oz. This was the biggest one of the dozen I caught but all the rest where just a little smaller and weigh around 10 oz.

Note - that is a hybrid bluegill and a nice bulky one.

Thanks Bill, sometimes I get lazy and don't include the Hybrid with the bluegill. This one is from the group of 300 3-5 inch HBG stock on 6/11 by Nate Herman. Goes to show what a little Silver Cup and AM500 can do. All the fish I caught last night were very fat. Hoping some of the HBG hit 10" this year. Having a couple of neighbors over today and we are going to pull 25 or so HBG out of the pond and have a fish fry.
