As seen in my other post. I bought a house last year that came with an old pond.

I was wondering if anyone ever found any weed killer that could be used around your pond without killing any of the fish. I would like to clean up the edges if possible and not have the weeds.

pic 1141-- looks like horsehair algae and it is hard to get rid of. constant application of copper sulfate granules and we all know what that does. anyone else have a better solution.

I know any glyphosate that is approved for aquatic use will work on your shoreline. This is not the same as Roundup. The aquatic formulas have a different surfactant that is approved for aquatic use.

I found one named "Glyphomate 41" on the net by googling "aquatic glyphosate" but I'm sure there are many others.

None of the photos yield enough detail to make a positive ID - even 1141.
Isolate a single strand (or two) of the plant in question and take a sharply focused photo of it in your hand - or against a contrasting background (include a coin for scale-reference).

Thanks will do...I have Glyphomate 41 that I use around my creeks. I'm glad someone is using it around their pond with no ill affects. Thanks.
