Last month a caught 2 really nice SMB from a local river, one was 15inches 1lb 12oz the other was 17inches 2lbs 10 oz. I took them home and put them in my one acre LMB pond. They are the only two SMB in the pond. Fished my pond today and in the first 5mins caught the largest of the 2 and 45mins later caught the other one. Seems they arent to hook shy. Caught them both on nightcrawlers.

They are hungry. once they adjust to feeding in the pond they wont be so easy to catch, but they definitely are more aggressive than largemouth and I loved reading your story. sometimes people stock hundreds if not thousands of fish and cant catch em to save their lives and sometimes people stock two stinkin fish and catch em right away!!!

I have two CC I caught at one of the lakes and I didn't see them for a year. Now I see them both every time I feed. I have one other large CC that feeds with them. Now I wish I could see if any of my ones I bought off the fish truck made it. LOL I really would like a couple of smallies in my pond just for the fun of it.
