Just found this forum, and my question is about reparing/replaceing an overflow pipe on a old pond. We moved to this farm aobut 18 years ago and I think this pond is about 50 years old and the stand pipe has developed a hole in it from rust. What is the "easiest and cheapest" way to repair?

There's t different routes that I know of:
1) Get a company in to plug/seal it. Preferrably from the pond side to eliminate any leaks in the pipe where it goes thru the dam. Then install a siphon overflow pipe.
2) Dig it out and replace it with plastic.
There was an article in the Pond Boss Magazine (if you don't subscribe, it's a great subscription) a few months ago.
