Hi all, it seems this year when we catch and release the bg a few days later there floating . There has been a good bg spawn . The rainbows, perch, and bass seem to be ok, just the bg after being caught and released and there not gut hooked either. A update on the water temps ( no air) surface is 70-73.... 10 ft is at 54-55..... 18ft is at 50..... The pellet fed rainbows and brookies feed well at sunset.

I dont know if this is your case but fish can get stressed, It can affect their mood, coloring, habit and health

They were probably worn out by the spawning ritual and not eating for a time period. Catching and releasing them was the final straw.

Going on and off the beds repeatedly due to temp swings will intensify the stress.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
