yoy, but what kind and why r the eyes buldging

Found small swarm of yoy fish in the shallows of my pond today and my son was able to get some good photos of them. Only thing is I am not sure what they are and why the eyes are bulging out on some of them. Some have one eye bugging out others have both eyes. Probably about ten in all ( out of hundreds) have the bug eyes. r they fhm or southern red bellied daces? I know srbd are not supposed to reproduce in a pond but.....

CJBS2003 Ambassador Field Correspondent Hall of Fame Lunker C Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 10,458 Likes: 3 Earth	Fry are very hard to ID and without being able to hold one or closely examine it to key out the morphology, it's a challenge. However, I am seeing a distinct lateral stripe and some have a spot at the base of the tail. This would indicate either a FHM or BNM to me.
