Ok, so I have recently stocked some LMB and CC into my pond! I finally got the fish in and they have been doing great. Now it seems that I have some large LMB and CC, but I have many 2-3 inch GSF and BG. My question is should I take out any GSF or BG of that size so that it doesn't stunt the growth of these fish?

How big is your pond? How long ago did you stock the LMB and CC? How many of each species and at what size did you stock them? Approximately how big have they become? Have you measured the length and weight of your LMB to determine their relative weight? If not, try doing that through a few size classes and see what you come up with? And, have your LMB begun to reproduce, are you seeing any smaller LMB?

If you have a lot of small sunfish you have groceries for the predators. Don't eliminate them.

To determine the balance of your pond keep a log of all fish caught. The trends that you will see will tell the story of your pond.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
