Found these guys today, was surprised to see LMB fry already. Always heard Bass can spawn as early as mid February in Texas, I've never seen that myself, but this is the earliest spawn I've seen in a while. Water temps today were 70 F. ![](http://i739.photobucket.com/albums/xx31/greenalgaecontrol/2012-03-15_14-27-22_697.jpg) ![](http://i739.photobucket.com/albums/xx31/greenalgaecontrol/2012-03-15_14-17-02_546.jpg)

Hard to believe they can turn into 10+ pound eating machines if given the right conditions!

In South Texas where you are, I'm not surprised with the warm winter we've had.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I hope to dip some of them up this year, I have not seen any LMB fry since I stocked them 2 years ago. I think the GSF are eating them.
Did you use the net in the picture to catch these?

That's awesome. My wife caught a fry of some sort last Friday (yes, you actually did read that correctly - she actually caught a fry on Friday!). I haven't taken time yet to give it a good look to see if I can figure out what it is, but it's tiny - probably half an inch or slightly more. Definitely new and just amazing to me given the early time of year for us in WV.
