This is a loaded topic, you know that right? A few questions:

1. Where do the main water sources come from (the springs that is), such as ice melt, upper water ways, natural underwater drainage, etc.?

2. Do your property rights allow you to harvest the water for private usages? This will effect your ability to harvest the spring water for usages.

3. How far is your water sources to your destination of ponding?

4. How much water you plan to harvest for how much of a ponding area?

5. How much you plant to use vs how much you harvest?

6. Gravity feed or actively pumping?

7. How much you're willing to shell out?
