Lack of Winter Ice makes for good walleye fishing
Hopefully the walleye will continue to move up and turn on. Not having winter ice can be a good thing...

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

Hopefully The weather will cooperate and the big uns will move in. I think these 4-6 lbers were a fluke because we have just caught small males the rest of the week. Depending on the weather, mid Jan can be the start of some fantastic walleye fishing. Bullshoals has turned into a great walleye fishery. Ten pounders are not uncommon during the next few months and every year we see some caught in the high teens. Late summer into fall is typically real good for big walleye also, as long a there is water moving.
