We lost a dear Pond Boss family member yesterday. Ray Murski, 72, was killed in a head-on car crash yesterday in central Texas. Ray was a huge Pond Boss fan and actually was instrumental in the genesis of the magazine. He generously offered to provide the capital to publish the first issue of the magazine in July, 1992. He was a long time client and friend of mine whose ranch lakes I developed for him back in the mid-80's. Ray was always working behind the scenes to help people. He was owner of Bliss-Murski Sales, a manufacturers rep company based in Dallas which reps numerous hunting and fishing suppliers. He fished in the first BassMasters tournaments in the 60's and owned Strike King Lure company for a number of years. He called everyone "Buck" in his raspy voice and was always good for a great story. Ray had a wonderful countenance and a deep, infectious laugh. So Sad. I didn't really know him, but met him at the first Pond Boss conference in Arlington, and then had a pleasant chat with him in 2010 at ICAST in Las Vegas. He was very easy and entertaining to talk to. He wasn't there this year, but his son, who looks a lot like Ray, was. Condolences to his family.

Bob, sorry for the loss of your friend. I meet Ray at one of the PB conferences and remember him to be a very nice guy. I also remember your introduction
of him as a speaker, and the very sincere way you spoke of him as a true friend. My condolences to you and Ray's family.

I talked to him a couple of times. Unforgettable guy.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
