I have observed a number of jellyfish in my 5 year old bass/bluegill pond this year and would like any information forum members might share. Are these small whiteish things a problem? How can they be controlled? The pond is +/- 3 acres, clear and produces numerous bass, not so big yet. Thanks in advance for your advice.

See if they are bryozoans. If so, they are pretty cool and indicative of healthy water and a clean environment.
Here's a picture of one.

I too have had what I call a "Fresh Water Jellyfish" in my ponds. They are about the size of a penny here in Ohio with a small X shape on top of them. From what I have read they are pretty much harmless to humans but may affect fish. Sometimes they may not be in a BOW from one year to the next. Please follow the link below for the type I have had in my pond and some interesting reading.

I have seen very few and mostly in the spring to early summer months.

You can pickup a bryozoan but we too have seen "jelly balls" about the size of a golf ball. Slight green tint to them. I never got around to asking what they are. Anyone? Diff. than bryzoan these would fall apart if not handled with care.

Tranquility's linked info. is exactly what I have in my pond now. I swim with them and haven't been stung. In that they are invasive, should I be making any effort to eliminate them? If so, how would I go about that? Thanks to all for the info.
