What sort of scale or tape do you guys use when working or "collecting data"??

I use a digital scale that will weigh in 0.1 lb. For a tape, I cut a 6" pieceo of PVC in half lengthwise, attached a piece of plexiglass on one end and a 24" piece from a tape measure on the bottom.

thanks guys we have done lots of research to find these and it really saves you some dollars even compared to walmart. i do nto like folling with small sales but we misordered and have about 100 of these smaller scales. If someone interested I wil find price and sale jsut eh scale if kit is nto of interest. The check it stick is also the best I have found for measuring fish length. Thanks.
