I'd like to add an aerator to my pond. The pond is a small (under 1/4 probably over 1/8 acre) and in a wooded area. The problem is my lot is vacant right now and therefore has no power. I'm also looking into getting temporary power but there may be some issues involved there as well.
Consequently, I've been looking into a solar aerator. I've seen the prices all over the place, but have a hunch I can build one myself on my own budget. My biggest fear is getting a suitable DC pump, but I'm sure there are plenty of other things I should be worrying about.
Has anyone built their own solar aerator?
Thanks.
