Pond Boss Forums INTRO New Forum Member Introduction Hello from Latvia

Hi there!

So, I am a new member of this forum and I'm from Latvia (Europe). Not a long time ago I started searching internet for a forum like this and I got lucky - I found this address. The only sad thing for me is that seems like this forum is mostly visited by Americans and you have different fish species, different pond vegetation and measurements (Of course,I can recalculate them and I usually do that ).
But the finest thing is that pond construction seems to be the same everywhere in the world and probably I will learn something new

Oh, I almost forgot to tell about me. I'm a pond owner and I'm planning to use it for 2 main reasons:
1)fishing for fun;
2)getting fish for eating.
Of course, I will swim in my pond too

Probably I should post some pics. I'd like to show, how we managed to create a pond... where should I post them - here or in specific section (Pond Construction)?

Even tho the fish species are different, and some of the plants will be too, the basic management strategy will be the same. Ask away, I for one am interested in the different species of fish.

We have a member from Australia, and he came over here a year ago for the Pond Boss conference, spent some time with some different business people, and started up his pond consulting business back home.

So, that just goes to show you that even if the species are different, the basic strategy is the same, no matter where in the world you are located.

re: measurement. The same goes for us, we can convert from the metric system too.
