I tried to post this a minute ago, and my computer went stupid. If it shows up twice, I apologize. Anyway, is it ok to feed my BG, GSF, CC hot dog bites, or will the preservatives harm them?? We walk around the ponds and they follow like little kids. Thanks in advance for any input!!

Landon, I think that's wonderful. How fun! I don't believe there's any detriment at all to tossing bits of hot dog and bread to your fish.

Don't feed them to satiation. They need the right stuff; not candy.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I try to feed my CC the same thing, although it's usually surrounding a 2/0 circle hook.

Omaha, thank you! It is really neat to watch them follow us around the ponds. Dave, we won't, I promise it will be just a little treat now and then. We feed twice a day in 6 different areas. It has been a joy to watch our "kids" grow!! Esshup, glad you are using circle hooks! We allow only circle hooks to be used here, when we let friends fish. Thanks to Pond Boss and all of you for having this forum. We have learned alot from you all!!!
