I usally try to avoid using chemicals if I can help it but the FA is going crazy with the in the upper end of the pond and blowing clumps all over it. So i mixed up about 8 oz in my 3 gallon backpack sprayer and sprayed about 75-100 yards of shoreline where the FA was getting bad at. The pond is 6 acres and I was wondering how dangerous just spot spraying a small section is to the fish. I know copper isnt good for them. Would reward be a safer chemical to use?

Overall with this method the amount of copper is minimal. 24 oucnes copper in a nice size pond- no issue. Reward will nto work as wel on algae and cost you more.

Thanks Greg, Just making sure. Im seeing tons of 2-3" bluegill around the banks now. I caught 2 of those bass I got from you the other week that we tagged and they still look fat and happy.

Oh and I didnt use 24 oz I only used 8 in the whole 3 gal. Did I not mix it strong enough?

I have a 1/4 acre pond covered with this probably 60-80% of my pond. I was going to add some Tilapia to see what they could do but I am thinking it will not be enough.

Should I consider Curtrine Plus?

If so what would be the recommended amount to use, and the easiest way to apply it.
