Freeze it. Bring it with you this weekend. I'll start preparing it on Friday night. It will be delicious by Saturday afternoon.

I ain't telling the Queen what you said. I stocked that fish (and 23 of its buddies) back in 2003 because she wanted some "color" in my bass pond. She got color. I'll show you another one in a minute.

For some reason that first fish reminds me of the fish world equivalent of Liberace!
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Here's one in honor of George. That ain't no goldfish! That is just a WV Perch. But, it sure looks delicious. If Bob and Todd get to our place early enough, we'll pull some goldfish (actually golden trout) and some of George's type of black and white perch ("monster striped crappie") out of our pond for dinner.

My youngest just walked up, (out of bed to get a drink), and with the absolute innocence and brutal honesty of an 8 yr old, sleepily asked, " Did that carp escape from a circus?" turned around, and walked back to bed.
Don't blame him, as his father has been somewhat lax in regards to educating his children about fish species other than what swims in our own ponds....
There may yet be hope for the boy......

Bob how did you keep your bass from eating those fish when they were smaller. I stocked some in my pond and have never seen one since. you must have put some larger ones in. The ones I stocked were in the four inch range.

You are on a shock boat, thus I assume those fish were 'shocked up'? Yea how did you keep the bass from eating them? How big were they when stocked? I like that comment "those fish escaped from the circus"!

Yep...they were about 10 inches when we stocked them. Yes, the shocker boat. And, yes again...it was a circus. When I stocked those koi, our feed-trained bass were about 12 inches long. And, yes, AquaMax fed fish.

So to sum this up, stocking 24 KOI 10 inches long is the key to successful feed trained bass pond with monster bonus Hybrid Striped Bass?

My question is do the KOI stir up the water any like Common Carp or Goldfish?
Also do they just in enjoy your AM Feed or will they eat other items as well?
Just wondering as I have considered adding a few of them or Goldfish for my daughter to enjoy.
Please let me know.
Thanks

Bob, any signs of them reproducing or did the LMB and HSB quickly remove any unwanted babies? That was always my worry in stocking more than 1 pet koi into a pond like that...
