So after having two days with highs in the mid 70's i checked the surface water temp in the sun and it was 61 deg. Bluegill were popping all over the pond so i decided to do a little fishing. Well i didnt have any luck with the bass but I did catch around 20 Crappie. The fish feeders went off at 5 and the HSB went crazy on it. Great afternoon! i really was needing one of those.

I went fishing today too! I caught two bass today. My bluegill never came to the surface.

Take someone new fishing at your pond. They'll be hooked forever.

Yeah Friday I caught a real nice 16 inch bass on a floating worm. I was pretty happy about that. I also saw about 5 or 6 smaller lmb schooling in the shallows! Makes you feel good when you see fish again! Sometimes in the winter your pond looks really dead and you wonder if there is anything left in it???
The only difference between a rut and a Grave is the depth. So get up get out of that rut and get moving!! Time to work!!

I went fishing this weekend as well. Only one small LMB but I did see the first sunfish at the feeder this year. Water temp was actually 65 in the sun in 6 ft of water.
The BEST investment I have made in my pond is subscribing to PondBoss!

Yeah, my water has also warmed quickly and the BG and CC are feeding like mad.
I also caught one small LMB.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
Without a sense of urgency, Nothing ever gets done.
