IVE GOT 8 SURFACE ACRES AND LOTS OF HUGE CRAPPIE ALSO LOTS OF SMALL ONES. MY MAIN GOAL IS BIG BASS.
MY WEIGHTS ARE RIGHT AT PUBLISHED RW EXCEPT FOR SOME OF THE LARGER BASS 20-24 INCHES SEEM TO RUN A LITTLE LOW.SHOULD I KEEP EVERY CRAPPIE I CATCH OR SOME OF THE SMALLER BASS WITH GOOD RW OR BOTH?? ARE THERE ANY RECOMENDED HARVEST RATES FOR CRAPPIE??

Harvest every crappie that you catch.
Harvest 10lbs+/per acre of the smaller bass and your RW should get better on your big bass if you have all your forage in balance.

Harvesting fish is the best tool you have. Lot's of info. on this board, plus some past "Pond Boss" articles were very good. If you haven't bought the book "Raising Trophy Bass" then you should. It will give you lot's of advice on this subject.

Tate, there was just a great article in this months Pond Boss about stocking large wipers in the pond to eat all the young crappie and turn things around rather quickly , let the wipers do the work and you have blast catching them. lol \:\)
