One of my goals is to lower water temperature. Down here in Central Mississippi our surface water temps get extremely high. Especially in the shallow ponds and lakes.

I'm not yet sold on the bottom aeration diffusers, and the total affect it has on pond temps. I have been told anywhere from 2* to 10* can be expected. The deeper the water, the more you can expect a drop in temps.....

I'm posting this here, because I would like some feedback from those of you that aerate, with bottom diffusers. Has anyone checked temps and compared a before and after during the hot summer months? Can anyone test this for me?

My 1.2 acre pond will average out at 7-8' deep. Shallows are 4'. I would say 25% is 9-12', 50% is 6-8', and 25% is 4-6'.

I realize the other benefits of aeration, so at the moment, let's focus on water temperature.

Thanks......

No aeration. Those are just temps at depth. There is some spring influence but not a lot.

Jackson.
