Wiper Bonanza
Monday evening visited the spread with the family. Prior to scheduled feedings I tossed in some Aqua Max 400/500 to stimulate BG, GSH and FH feeding. Once they get rolling, the SMB start taking swipes. This creates a surface disturbance that must be felt by the larger fish - YP and HSB. After 10 minutes of aggressive action, I start throwing 600 pellets, and sure enough, the big YP and HSB started slamming them as they had moved in attracted by the commotion.
1/16 oz barbless white jighead and white 2" twistertail grub - the freight trains hit and made 5-6 drag screaming runs before I waded in and lipped them. The kids caught by far their largest fish to date - both went just under 17". With each fish I catch HSB are becoming my favorite fish in the pond. Thanks Dr. Bruce!

Nice, bro! Great looking fish and even better looking kids! As has been said here before, there's nothing like a smiling kid holding onto (or at least in close proximity to!) a fish! Thanks for posting those shots - just awesome!

I really want some HSB!
The fish doesn't look quite as happy and enthused as the others in the photos. I guess that is the difference between being "involved" vs. being "committed." Thanks for the fantastic photos.

Those are awesome fish and happy looking kids!
I am with ya'. HSB are becoming my new favarite fish too. I have 50 and a few are around 13 inches. Hoping they will be pushing 17 inches by the end of the summer. They really had the feed bag on this morning. The fish ate more at one time than I have ever seen.
Catmandoo, don't wait any longer. I can almost hear my HSB growing on a still night. Get em' in there!
I love this stuff!

Yep TJ you are on the right track. My HSB are feeding like hogs on AM 600. Here is Greg with one of the 20 mth old fish. Makes no sense - this link will post a pic direct on other threads but not this one ?

Makes no sense - this link will post a pic direct on other threads but not this one ? I have found the same thing. For some reason image gallery posts do not allow the posting of photo in them. I have tried several different methods to no avail.

FROM UBB - sorry guys, it's a ubb software shortcoming: -------- Original Message -------- Subject: [#UBB-561:BXV9X6] Re: Forum photo posting issues Date: Fri, 4 Jun 2010 09:12:42 -0700 From: UBB Support <> To: TJ Hudson <>
Hi Tom,
Ok, I see it now. Images are currently not actually allowed in replies to photo gallery forums, due to layout issues. We are working on changing this for our next version however.

dont forget to put the lid back on the feeder...........man that stuff stinks when it gets wet.
Hybrid Stripers are indeed my favorite fish as well. Grow fast, fight hard, bite all kinds of dead and live bait, and taste great.
