The top of the corrugated metal overflow pipe(12") is rusting away at the water's level and the water level dropped 5-6" in my 1 acre pond(Pipe has been in for 7 years). The pipe runs 30 plus feet under the dam and rises 10'.
I dont want to dig out the pipe & have read about filling it with concrete to seal it off. Is regular concrete ok? I think this may be my best bet. I lowered the water level and now have a plastic pipe(heavy green) set up for future drainage in the lower side of the pond.
Any suggestions or info regarding this problem will greatly be appreciated.
