I am looking for someone who can deliver a load of shad to West Central Al next week (Livingston area). Everybody in the area seems to be out. I have a call into Greg Grimes. Water Turkeys wipe are shad population out, but maybe help our over populated bass problem.
Any help appreciated!

Greg Grimes has not return phone call yet (just left message this evening). Also talked to Jeff at Honey Hole Fisheries he is currently trying to locate some shad.

I know Greg is exceptionally busy right now.
FWIW, Threadfin Shad are in very short supply this spring.

Put in 300 Lbs of Tilapia about 3 weeks ago. I just miss watching the shad schooling on top of the water.

I will call them but my regular fish guy who stocked the Tilapia 3 weeks ago said they had no shad available. It appears I will have to wait until next year to stock shad. It�s a sad state of affairs! I had large schools of shad in March of this year until about 200 or more water turkeys feasted on my pond probably for week or more.

Hmm...did anyone call you back? I did not receive a message??? Anyway just bad news. I got over 70 loads of shad sold and no source. I had one say they had them in central SC but he played out a week after I got wind of it. I wish you the best. I do not think stocking in July with small shad is wise choice. Some hatcheries are telling my clietns this and I played that game many years ago establishement is very difficult I feel unless you time stocking near spawning times with mature Tshad.
