I worked about 10 hrs today on putting the spillway in and have about 8hours of mowing, weedwacking and chainsawing tomarrow, but im bringing in the backhoe to finish up the remaining excavateing this weekend. My pond is an embankment/excavation pond which will be about 1/3 of an acre max depth of 14 feet average depth of 6feet. My ? is how long after i finish can i stock my FHM. My guess is as soon as i have enough water which will be quick as i damed a stream.
0.22 acre dam pond LMB, BG, and CC

As soon as you do a water test and get an algae bloom. Since you are damming a stream, it may be OK now.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
