I wanted to provide an update on my Aqua Pro ADF 75 that was referenced in thread http://www.pondboss.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=173432&fpart=1

To save time on re-reading the thread, I had multiple problems with the feeder and eventually received a new one. Yesterday, I noticed the feed level in the bin had dropped very little since the last time I filled it.

I checked the timer, that appeared to be working correctly with correct date/time and full battery. Next, I check the test pattern on the feeding pattern, no motor runing, no fan, hmm that's no good. Check the display, it gives an unusual read-out.

I call Aqua Pro, tell them about the digital reading and they say the timer should not be displaying that. We go back and forth a bit, they agree to send a new timer out, although they advise it could be a problem with the motor.

Bottom line, NO WAY would I ever recommend this brand feeder to anyone. I'm on my second feeder, maybe on to my third. With the amount of money I've wasted on cleaning out fish food from the feed bin and and dumping it, I could have made the cost difference up for a Texas Hunter Product.

For those who have had success with this feeder, I'm glad to hear it. But, for me, it's been nothing but aggravation.

Wow, that sounds like a nightmare...I am lucky to have one year of AP service in the books and had no issues whatsoever. Considering I paid next to nothing for it via a friend on the Forum I consider myself ahead at this time...but am awaiting some calamity from the sounds of others' experiences. Gotta feel for the AP rep that monitors the PB Forum to see the negative feedback, albeit justified apparently. At least it sounds like AP is aware of the issues and is willing to work to effect customer satisfaction?? Is that going too far?

I'll give a positve note for AP but I also think very highly of my TH.

Heavy rain week before last flooded AP into about 4+ inches from base - dry out and kept on ticking.

I belive that most of the "jam" problems on AP can be solved by using AQMX 500 - 600 is pushing the limits.

Mine have been working fine. I don't often feed AM 600 in them but intend to try that over winter (looking for winter growth from some HSB).

I have 2 of the ADF 75 feeders and I have had very good luck with them. Since I am tight with money I used the low cost food and run into dust since it had very little oil in the food mixture. This was my problem and I am now using 36 percent and having no problems . I will clean all the food out this winter as the feeders were not cleaned out good when I went to the 36 %. The feeders are about 4 years old. I always expect minor problems so I have been very pleased with there operation.

You would expect some of them to work. Being absentee, their timers have cost me valuble fish growth with various issues. As Ewest said long ago, you need to know one will be working while gone.
I am saving up for a Texas Hunter model.

I replaced the timers in my two Aqua Pro feeders on several occasions. Each time the company has been willing to send a new timer. When feeding Game Fish Chow they seem to work. The AquaMax chokes both feeders into a jam. I'm definitely frustrated with the performance at this point. Any suggestions?
