This is why most people consider them a put and take fishery in their pond I do believe you are correct,however,my CC sucessfully spawned in my pond about 2 yrs ago.It was a really cool event to observe.Unfortunately,I wasnt smart enough to take pics of the courtship. Point is,dont assume they wont spawn just because of location.As Bill says...it all depends! I subscribe Some days you get the dog,and some days he gets you.Every dog has his day,and sometimes he has two!
