i have heavily fertilized my pond. from time to time i get some nasty looking stuff on top that seems to go away pretty quick and now i have the tilapia to take care of the rest (i hope).
questions is: you can look at my pond during different times of the day and the color looks way different. i know its not changing, but it is probably due to the sun's height in that particular time of day. but i can see bands of different colors in the pond. looks like green streaks 2' wide and 50' long or so. if you get close the water looks cloudy, and i dont mean a constant color but kinda creamy green looking. is this suspended clay?
i bought a little 2 man boat and trolling motor sunday and put in the pond. the foot of the motor already looks really covered with green growing stuff.
some times i can check with the disk and visibility is very low and other times right opposite. seems like sun is playing a big part on visibility.. what is the best way to check clarity?
