i have a 1.62 acre pond with 2000 bg/res stocked in march 2006 an 125 lmb stocked in may i also stocked 1500 fh's in march. but from what i can see the lmb have devistated the fh population. should i go ahead an stock shad while the bass are small or wait till the bass get bigger before i stock them so the bass will eat them to keep them under control?

I only suggest stocking in spring right when thye are ready to spawn. No problem with keep them under control thye only get 6 inches so all are potential bass food. I suggest next spring b/c easier to establish while the bass numbers are low. BTW I like your stocking plan, heavy on bg/res and lower on bass, good job. Are you fertilzing? If not tshad maybe be best shoice, if so they will make major diff in bass forage density.
