Black Bass Lunker B Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 131 Northeast Ohio	Well three weeks ago I got to see two Red Wing Blackbird breaking out their finest dance moves, but they were nothing compared to the two Robins I saw today. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera...And really it is impossible for me to do justice to what I witnessed today. I wintnessed some of the craziest acrobatics I have ever seen in my life. Two robins started chasing each other around my pond. They caught each other and started hovering in the air about 4' off the ground. Everything seemed in slow motion as the two intertwined, the male then started doing somersaults while attached to the female. Right before they hit the ground they would start back up attached and do it over again. It lasted maybe 15 seconds in all, but it was spectacular! Taking care of this pond is the best thing I have done for myself in awhile. No matter how busy or stressful my life is I know that after my daily 30 minutes feeding and observing at the pond I'll be in a good mood... Here's to ponds and the endless entertainment and knowledge they provide.

I've observed many courtship dances, but nothing tops the night hawk. The male dives at such a high speed his wings flutter with a roaring sound. Shrimp
