No wood ducks yet but the two boxes but we do have two different types of baby birds...one set is white we think maybe a screech owl??? The other, we don't know (the bird in the corner is dead, think it got tangled in the netting, isn't the mother bird of the babies in that box). Thoughts of what these critters might be? Hubby tried to catch the mother birds in boxes in hopes of it help identify them.

Don't know about the top pic but I'll throw a guess at the bottom one. Looks like a small hawk?

Looks like a bullbat but seems small.

Itsa SparrowHawk/Kestrel....Probably killed everything that was in there..I'm not sure if the same one will come back next year.

Thanks. Found pictures of the SparrowHawk online and that is it. Supposed to be pretty neat; not sure of the other things in other box, though.

Mark, I would make one suggestion for your duck boxes, when we built many of them for Waterfowl USA we didn't use netting or hardware cloth, we scored groves in the wood on the inside of the entrance so there was no chance of the ducklings getting their feet tangled, we also put a block of wood at the top of the box where it was mounted so it would angle slightly forward to make it easier for them to climb out.
